Overview

The People Experience Specialist at Klamath Basin Behavioral Health is responsible for ensuring that employees have access to equitable and compliant benefits that enhance well-being, engagement, and retention. This role focuses on benefits administration, wellness programming, and employee relations, contributing to a strong behavioral health workforce and promoting a culture of fairness and respect within the organization.

Key responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary contact for all benefits-related inquiries.
  • Oversee enrollment and compliance for various employee benefits.
  • Implement follow-up systems for new hire benefit utilization and satisfaction.
  • Manage leave administration including FMLA and OFLA.
  • Support strategic planning for employee benefits to attract and retain talent.
  • Design and execute employee wellness initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations related to employee benefits.
  • Conduct workplace investigations into employee complaints and policy violations.
  • Manage unemployment insurance claims and related documentation.
  • Engage employees through benefits fairs and informational sessions.

Required skills

  • Associate degree in Business Administration or Human Resources, or 3-5 years of relevant experience
  • 3+ years of experience in HR with a focus on benefits administration
  • Experience managing HR processes in a compliant environment
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong knowledge of HR regulations such as ADA, FMLA, OFLA, HIPAA, ACA, COBRA
  • Certification in Human Resources or benefits administration preferred
