Overview

Concord Physicians Solutions is seeking a Pediatric Emergency Medicine Physician for locum tenens opportunities in Fort Myers, Florida. The role involves providing evening and overnight coverage in a busy inpatient pediatric emergency department, primarily overseeing staff and performing critical medical procedures.

Key responsibilities

  • Oversight of PEDS ER Medicine PAs/NPs during shifts
  • Perform medical procedures including reductions, laceration repairs, intubations, I&D, splinting, ultrasound/FAST exams, NG tube placement, lumbar punctures, and chest tube placement
  • Manage an average of 150 patients within the pediatric emergency department
  • Collaborate with a team of approximately 9 total providers including physicians and NPs/PAs
  • Work alongside on-site support staff including X-ray, RT, social work, and pharmacy

Required skills

  • Board Certification in Pediatric Emergency Medicine
  • Active Florida medical license
  • Current BLS and PALS certification
  • NICA membership and receipts
  • NPDB documentation within 3 months
  • Updated CV for name clearance
  • Experience managing inpatient pediatric cases
