Overview

The Peak Season Repair Specialist at Safelite is a role designed as a pathway to full-time employment, primarily focusing on vehicle glass repairs. Working with industry-leading technology, the specialist will aim to deliver high-quality service while fostering positive customer experiences and embodying the Safelite Spirit.

Key responsibilities

  • Learn to repair vehicle glass under the guidance of experienced technicians.
  • Repair chips, cracks, and other auto glass-related issues on customer vehicles.
  • Manage work orders, customer documentation, and communication using Safelite's mobile technology.
  • Promote and sell Safelite promotional items to customers.
  • Clean customer vehicles during the repair process and maintain cleanliness in the workspace.
  • Safely operate company and customer vehicles as well as use tools and chemicals for repairs.
  • Comply with all company policies and standards.

Required skills

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred
  • Valid state-issued driver's license
  • On-the-job training completion for Safelite SafeTech certification
  • Ability to lift and carry weights of 25 lbs and assist with heavier loads
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and work in tight spaces
  • Experience using hand tools and power tools safely
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing
