Job Description

Overview

The PDC and Transformer Value Stream Manager at Quality Electrical Systems is responsible for the overall performance of manufacturing operations related to Power Distribution Centers and Transformer products. This role encompasses safety, quality, efficiency, and delivery, ensuring production plans are met and promoting a culture of continuous improvement within the team.

Key responsibilities

  • Own safety, quality, efficiency, and delivery results for value streams
  • Ensure efficient workflow from release to shipment
  • Translate production demand into actionable daily and weekly plans
  • Lead tiered escalation meetings and drive problem-solving
  • Direct daily manufacturing operations for E-House and Transformer assemblies
  • Manage staffing, labor plans, and schedules according to customer demand
  • Ensure compliance with EHS and electrical standards
  • Lead continuous improvement efforts focused on productivity and lead time
  • Coach and develop leaders with an emphasis on accountability and engagement
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams for process improvements and material management

Required skills

  • 5-7+ years of manufacturing operations experience
  • Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing and daily management systems
  • Experience in leading production lines or value streams
  • Proven ability to deliver results in complex environments
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations, Manufacturing or related field (preferred)
  • Experience in power distribution, E-House or transformer manufacturing
  • Lean, Six Sigma, or CI certification (preferred)
