Job Description

Overview

The PDC and Transformer Value Stream Manager at Quality Electrical Systems is responsible for the overall performance of manufacturing operations related to Power Distribution Centers and Transformer products. This role emphasizes accountability in safety, quality, efficiency, and delivery, ensuring that production plans are met and continuous improvement is a standard practice.

Key responsibilities

  • Own Safety, Quality, Efficiency, and Delivery (SQED) results for the value streams
  • Translate production demand into executable daily and weekly plans
  • Lead tiered escalation meetings and ensure issues are addressed
  • Direct daily manufacturing operations for E-House and Transformer assemblies
  • Manage staffing, labor plans, and schedules according to customer demand
  • Ensure compliance with safety and electrical standards
  • Lead Lean and continuous improvement efforts to enhance productivity
  • Develop and coach manufacturing leaders within the value streams
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Supply Chain, and Planning departments

Required skills

  • 5-7+ years of manufacturing operations experience
  • Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing and daily management systems
  • Experience in owning production lines or value streams
  • Leadership skills in complex environments
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations, Manufacturing, or related field (preferred)
  • Experience in power distribution or electrical equipment manufacturing
  • Lean, Six Sigma, or Continuous Improvement certification (preferred)
