Salary: $160,000 - $200,000 per year A bit about us: We are seeking a highly technical, hands-on PCB / PCBA Process Engineer to join a fast-paced electronics manufacturing environment. This is not a design role-it is a deeply technical, floor-facing position focused on the chemistry, processes, and real-time problem-solving within PCB and PCBA manufacturing. This individual will serve as a go-to expert and "do-er", working side-by-side with Production and Engineering teams to optimize processes, troubleshoot issues, and drive quality and yield improvements. This is a high-visibility role with significant impact across operations. Why join us? Competitive base salary: $160K - $200K Relocation assistance available (if applicable) Full benefits package (medical, dental, vision, 401k, etc.) Long-term growth within a highly specialized manufacturing environment Job Details Key Responsibilities Act as the subject matter expert (SME) for PCB and PCBA manufacturing processes Provide hands-on, real-time troubleshooting of manufacturing defects and process issues Partner directly with Production and Engineering teams on the manufacturing floor daily Analyze, diagnose, and disposition non-conformances and quality issues Drive improvements in yield, process stability, and overall product quality Serve as a technical authority on SMT processes and PCB/PCBA manufacturing best practices Support continuous improvement initiatives across process, materials, and equipment Required Qualifications 8+ years of direct experience in SMT and PCB/PCBA manufacturing environments Strong hands-on background in PCB/PCBA production (not design-focused) Deep working knowledge of: IPC-A-610 (Acceptability of Electronic Assemblies) and IPC-A-600 (Acceptability of Printed Boards) Proven ability to identify, analyze, and resolve manufacturing defects in real time Experience working on the production floor in a highly technical capacity Strong understanding of process chemistry and materials involved in PCB/PCBA manufacturing ITAR eligibility required; experience working in an ITAR-regulated environment is a strong plus Preferred Qualifications: Experience in EMS (Electronics Manufacturing Services) environments Exposure to high-mix, high-complexity manufacturing Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical findings into actionable improvements What Makes This Role Unique Highly visible, critical-impact SME position Opportunity to drive real-time solutions rather than purely strategic work Deep collaboration with operations, engineering, and leadership Ideal for someone who thrives as a hands-on expert vs. a desk-based engineer Interested in hearing more?
