Overview

The PCB Layout Design Engineer role at Amarx Search involves collaborating with a skilled engineering team to design and validate printed circuit boards (PCBs) using advanced tools. This position is essential for ensuring precision in the creation of rigid, flex, and rigid-flex PCBs, directly contributing to mission success in a defense technology setting.

Key responsibilities

  • Utilize Mentor PADS software to develop and revise circuit board designs
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address fabrication, assembly, and testing issues
  • Update design files, schematics, BOMs, and drawings while maintaining proper PLM structure
  • Validate PCB design packages to ensure alignment with schematic, BOM, and mechanical requirements

Required skills

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • 4+ years of relevant experience in PCB design (or equivalent experience with a Master's or without a degree)
  • Proficient with PCB design software such as PADS, Xpedition, Cadence, Valor
  • Knowledge of PCB design elements including schematic, BOM, mechanical, and fabrication documentation
