Description: Payroll and Human Resources SpecialistReports To: Human Resources ManagerFLSA Status: ExemptWork Schedule: Monday - Friday, normal business hours. Additional hours may be required to support executive travel, board meetings, company events, and other business needs.Date: August 13th, 2026Position SummaryThe Payroll and Human Resources Specialist is responsible for accurately processing payroll and providing administrative support for a variety of human resources functions. This position ensures compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations while assisting with onboarding, benefits administration, recordkeeping, and HR programs. At this time, we are only considering candidates who currently reside within state/local area and are authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship. Applicants outside of this geographic area will not be considered. Essential FunctionsPayroll AdministrationProcess payroll accurately and on schedule.Review and verify employee time records, payroll changes, deductions, and adjustments.Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with wages and hour laws.Process garnishments, tax levies, child support orders, and payroll deductions.Reconcile payroll reports and resolve discrepancies.Coordinate year-end payroll activities.Respond to employee payroll inquiries.Human Resources SupportAssist with recruiting, job postings, interview scheduling, and candidate communication.Coordinate onboarding and orientation processes.Maintain personnel files and HR records.Assist with benefits administration and leave tracking.Support employee engagement, training, and recognition programs.Respond to routine employee questions regarding policies and procedures.Payroll Accounting & Reporting SupportPrepare, enter, and/or support payroll-related journal entries.Review payroll general ledger coding for accuracyAssist with reconciliation of payroll clearing accountsAdministrative FunctionsMaintain strict confidentiality of employee information.Assist with payroll, benefits, and HR compliance audits.Generate reports and support special projects.Safety ResponsibilitiesFollow all company safety policies, rules, and procedures at all times.Comprehend, retain, and comply with established safety programs and training requirements.QualificationsRequiredAssociate degree in Human Resources, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent experience.Minimum 2 years of payroll processing experience.Experience with payroll systems and HRIS platforms.Strong attention to detail, organizational, and communication skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.PreferredBachelor's degree in Human Resources, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.3-5 years of combined payroll and human resources experience.Certified Payroll Professional (CPP), Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC)Experience with the Paylocity HRIS PlatformExperience with multi-state payroll processing.Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables, lookups, and reporting.Experience in manufacturing.Working Conditions & Physical RequirementsPrimarily office-based positionRegular use of computers, phones, and office equipmentFrequent interaction with employees, visitors, customers, suppliers, and leadershipBenefit DisclaimerCondux provides a competitive benefits package featuring medical, dental, and vision coverage, 401(k) employer matching, short-term and long-term disability benefits, and an annual bonus opportunity.Employment StatementThis job description is intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by employees assigned to this position.
