Overview

The Payroll Coordinator at L.E. Cox Medical Centers plays a crucial role in maintaining employee schedules and payroll data to ensure timely and accurate payroll processing. This position requires strong organizational skills and attention to detail, working closely with nurse leaders across multiple departments in inpatient nursing.

Key responsibilities

  • Accurately enter and maintain employee schedules and payroll data
  • Ensure timely and accurate payroll processing
  • Work with nurse leaders to apply pay codes and differentials as per policy
  • Support multiple departments within inpatient nursing
  • Provide reports and data mining on department-specific benchmarks

Required skills

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Associates Degree in accounting, finance, or related healthcare field (preferred)
  • 1 year experience in clerical field or payroll/scheduling/timekeeping role
  • Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
