Overview

Eden Foods Inc is seeking a full-time Payroll Clerk to join their Accounting Department in Clinton, Michigan. This role involves carrying out payroll functions and maintaining accurate payroll records, requiring teamwork, communication skills, and strong attention to detail.

Key responsibilities

  • Maintain communication with department managers and supervisors regarding payroll details
  • Process attendance data for payroll calculations
  • Provide backup support for bi-weekly payroll processing
  • Ensure payroll logs and databases are timely and accurately maintained
  • Collect and verify paid time-off requests
  • Address payroll discrepancies and respond to employee inquiries
  • Maintain in-house employee personnel and payroll files
  • Process new hire, termination, and employee change documentation
  • Compile and maintain payroll reports for record-keeping
  • Assist the accounting team with additional projects as needed

Required skills

  • Experience in payroll, accounting, clerical, or administrative roles
  • Familiarity with payroll systems, particularly Paylocity
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Professional communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other computer programs
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time-management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
