Overview

The Pay and Benefits Advisor at Universite Saint-Paul is responsible for overseeing the Pay and Benefits sector, including the management of the human resources information system (HRIS). This temporary position involves providing support and guidance on compensation and benefits, while ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and enhancing HR procedures.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage the HRIS system project including planning and resource allocation.
  • Collaborate with various departments to assess HRIS requirements and make vendor recommendations.
  • Maintain employee files in HRIS and payroll systems to ensure accuracy.
  • Provide advice on compensation and benefits matters to managers and employees.
  • Develop and implement payroll reconciliation and insurance deduction procedures.
  • Orient new employees on benefits and assist with registration.
  • Conduct audits to ensure accuracy of employee data and compliance with regulations.
  • Prepare and reconcile various HR reports.

Required skills

  • Post-secondary degree in industrial relations or related field.
  • Certification as Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) or equivalent.
  • Five years of experience in human resources with a focus on pay and benefits.
  • Two years of HRIS management experience.
  • Familiarity with HR legislation and regulations.
  • Proficient in spreadsheet software, particularly Excel.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Organizational and planning abilities.
  • Bilingual in both official languages.
