Overview

The H&K Group is seeking an experienced Paving/Roller Operator for the Lehigh Valley Division in Easton, Pennsylvania. This role involves operating roller equipment and performing various paving tasks in road construction projects to meet daily production goals.

Key responsibilities

  • Operate roller machine on road construction projects
  • Perform daily checks on equipment to ensure proper operating condition
  • Maintain equipment by greasing and checking fluids daily
  • Assist with pre-run markings and fine grading before compaction
  • Shovel asphalt as required and direct traffic around work area
  • Notify shop foreman of maintenance or repair needs

Required skills

  • Experience with roller machines on highway road construction projects
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Problem solving abilities
  • Ability to understand and carry out detailed instructions
  • Ability to meet physical requirements of the job
