Preparing for patient visits by reviewing schedules and ensuring all necessary information is available. Scheduling patient appointments and coordinating follow-up visits as needed. Answering routine questions in person and over the telephone while providing exceptional customer service. Performing clerical responsibilities including copying, scanning, faxing, sorting, and distributing mail. Creating, maintaining, filing, and organizing patient health record information. Coordinating with insurance providers and handling pre-authorizations and certifications as necessary. You lead with integrity and are proud to represent the RWJBarnabas Health mission, vision, and values.To be considered for this opportunity, you must have a High School Diploma or GED and a minimum of two years of front desk receptionist or scheduling experience in a busy, multi-physician practice (preferrably seeing seeing on average > 50 patients per day). Experience with electronic medical record systems, appointment scheduling, managing busy phone lines, insurance verification, copay collection, and patient check-in and check-out processes is required. An Associate's or Bachelor's degree is preferred. Bilingual abilities and knowledge of the EPIC system are a plus. Travel to Millburn anchor office for coverage as needed. Also possible travel for coverage regionally 45minutes of anchor location.
