The Patient Financial Navigator (PFN) at Cox Medical Center Branson plays a crucial role in assisting patients and their families with financial resources by assessing the financial situations of uninsured or under-insured patients. This position involves determining eligibility for financial assistance and facilitating enrollment in programs, while maintaining patient confidentiality and dignity.

Key responsibilities

  • Assist patients and families in accessing financial resources
  • Evaluate financial situations of uninsured or under-insured patients
  • Determine eligibility for financial assistance and available payer sources
  • Provide assistance in enrolling in government programs or other assistance
  • Answer questions regarding insurance coverage and eligibility
  • Liaison with Patient Financial Services and Care Management team
  • Advocate for patients in resolving patient liabilities

Required skills

  • Customer service experience (1-2 years, preferably in healthcare or insurance)
