Overview

The Patient Financial Navigator at CoxHealth plays a critical role in assisting patients and their families in navigating financial resources. This position involves evaluating the financial situations of uninsured or under-insured patients, determining eligibility for financial assistance, and providing support for enrolling in available programs to ensure the best possible care solutions.

Key responsibilities

  • Assist patients and families in accessing financial resources
  • Evaluate the financial situations of uninsured or under-insured patients
  • Determine eligibility for financial assistance and available payer sources
  • Provide assistance with enrollment in government programs
  • Answer questions regarding insurance coverage and eligibility
  • Liaise with Patient Financial Services and Care Management to optimize cash flow
  • Act as an advocate for patients in resolving financial liability

Required skills

  • Customer service experience, preferably in healthcare or insurance
