Overview

Ensemble Health Partners is seeking a Patient Access Specialist to perform admitting duties for patients at a hospital in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware. This entry-level role requires excellent customer service and compliance with organizational policies to support the smooth admission process for patients receiving services.

Key responsibilities

  • Assign accurate MRNs and complete medical necessity/compliance checks
  • Provide proper patient instructions and collect insurance information
  • Receive and process physician orders while delivering excellent customer service
  • Operate the telephone switchboard for incoming and outgoing calls
  • Conduct audits of accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Pre-register patient accounts and gather demographic, insurance, and financial information
  • Explain general consent for treatment forms and distribute necessary documents
  • Review eligibility responses in insurance verification systems
  • Screen medical necessity using ABN software and manage designated forms
