Overview

Ensemble Health Partners is seeking an entry-level Patient Access Specialist to join their team in Albuquerque, New Mexico. This on-site role involves performing admitting duties and providing excellent customer service to patients while ensuring compliance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

  • Assign accurate MRNs and complete medical necessity/compliance checks
  • Collect insurance information and process physician orders
  • Operate the telephone switchboard for calls
  • Perform pre-registration of patient accounts prior to visits
  • Conduct audits of accounts and maintain accurate records
  • Explain consent for treatment forms and obtain necessary signatures
  • Review eligibility responses in the insurance verification system
  • Screen for medical necessity using the ABN software

Required skills

  • Customer service experience (1+ years)
  • Medical billing and insurance verification knowledge
