Overview

Ensemble Health Partners is seeking a part-time Patient Access Associate Specialist for their Charleston, SC location. This entry-level role entails managing the admitting procedures for patients at the hospital, while ensuring compliance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform admitting duties for all patients admitted for services
  • Assign accurate MRNs and complete medical necessity/compliance checks
  • Collect insurance information and process physician orders
  • Utilize quality auditing and reporting systems to ensure account accuracy
  • Conduct audits of accounts ensuring timely completion of forms
  • Pre-register patient accounts prior to visits, including obtaining necessary demographic and insurance information
  • Explain consent forms and distribute patient education documents
  • Review eligibility responses in insurance verification systems for billing processes
