The Patient Access Associate Specialist at Ensemble Health Partners is responsible for managing patient registration and access processes, ensuring a positive patient experience and data integrity within the healthcare revenue cycle. This entry-level role involves various onsite responsibilities at Covenant-St Mary's in Lewiston, Maine, and emphasizes customer service, compliance, and effective communication.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage patient registration and access processes.
  • Conduct medical necessity/compliance checks and insurance verification.
  • Maintain accurate data entry and auditing.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for patients.
  • Operate the telephone switchboard and relay calls.
  • Explain and obtain necessary signatures for consent forms.
  • Perform pre-registration of patient accounts before visits.
  • Collect point-of-service collections and past due balances.
  • Distribute patient education documents.
  • Utilize quality auditing and reporting systems.
