Ensemble Health Partners is seeking a Patient Access Associate Specialist for their Charleston, SC location. This entry-level role involves admitting patients and providing excellent customer service while ensuring compliance with organizational standards and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

  • Assign accurate MRNs and complete medical necessity checks
  • Collect insurance information and process physician orders
  • Operate the telephone switchboard for incoming and outgoing calls
  • Adhere to policies and provide compassionate customer service
  • Conduct audits of accounts and ensure accuracy and timeliness
  • Pre-register patient accounts and obtain necessary information
  • Explain general consent for treatment forms to patients and guardians
  • Review insurance eligibility responses and enter benefit data
  • Screen for medical necessity using ABN software
