Overview

The University of California Davis Health is seeking a Molecular Pathologist at the Assistant, Associate or Full Professor rank within the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine. This role involves providing strategic leadership and overseeing the Molecular Pathology Division, along with participating in clinical and administrative responsibilities such as medical direction, test reporting, new test development, and quality assurance.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide strategic vision and leadership for the Molecular Pathology Division
  • Supervise molecular laboratory operations and personnel
  • Participate in medical, technical, and scientific directorship
  • Engage in research and scholarly activities
  • Teach housestaff and medical students
  • Contribute to curriculum development in subspecialty areas
  • Collaborate with other departments within the UC Davis Health System

Required skills

  • MD, DO, PhD, or combined MD/PhD or DO/PhD
  • Board-eligible or certified in Clinical Pathology and Molecular Pathology
  • Experience in clinical care, teaching, and research
  • Ability to work cooperatively in a diverse environment
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
