ProLocums is seeking a Pathology Physician for a hospital-based pathology lab in Syracuse, New York. The role involves providing coverage during a period of physician shortage, with multiple dates of required coverage throughout the summer and fall months.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform laboratory-based pathology services
  • Gross specimens and cut frozen sections
  • Utilize equipment including Thin prep integrated imager and various microscopes
  • Fulfill duties as required during specified coverage dates
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and certification standards

Required skills

  • AP Board Certified
  • Active NY State medical license
  • Experience in hospital-based pathology lab
  • Proficiency in GYN cytology
  • Familiarity with EPIC/Beaker documentation system
