Overview

Southern Ohio Medical Center is seeking a Board Certified Pathologist to serve as Senior Medical Director for their established general pathology practice. This full-time role involves leading a team of three pathologists, with responsibilities including leadership, overseeing pathology operations, and participating in tumor board meetings.

Key responsibilities

  • Serve as Senior Medical Director of the pathology practice
  • Lead a team of three pathologists
  • Participate in weekly tumor board meetings
  • Sustain satisfactory turnaround times for pathology services
  • Lead department in CAP accreditation surveys

Required skills

  • Board Certification in Pathology
  • Cytopathology fellowship preferred
  • Leadership experience in healthcare
  • Knowledge of clinical governance and healthcare management
  • Experience with Meditech and Dragon Medical One
