Job Description

Overview

The Part-Marking Technician at HORST ENGINEERING & MANUFACTURING CO will perform part marking and assembly on various materials using techniques such as Dot Peen and Electrolytic Etch. This role requires setting up and operating assembly equipment, adhering to customer requirements, and maintaining quality standards.

Key responsibilities

  • Mark components per customer requirements and verified marking cards
  • Perform all assembly responsibilities in a cell
  • Assemble and adjust complex components, mark, label, and package parts
  • Develop and document assembly procedures
  • Set up and operate multiple assembly machines and processes
  • Troubleshoot assembly process problems and resolve issues
  • Perform visual and dimensional inspection of mechanical components
  • Identify defects and non-conformities to blueprints
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment
  • Follow safety and environmental procedures and regulations

Required skills

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 1-3 years of experience in a similar position
  • Strong interpersonal and analytical skills
  • Ability to understand operation sheets/blueprints and specifications
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Experience with Dot Peen, Electrolytic Etch, Vibro Peen, and 2D matrix marking
  • Familiarity with Collins and GE marking requirements
  • Strong mechanical background
  • Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs
