The City of Fort Lauderdale Paramedics/Firefighters are responsible for the protection and preservation of life and property by responding to emergencies and through the performance of firefighting/rescue tasks and providing emergency medical care. This job classification is included within the bargaining unit represented by the International Association of Firefighters (IAFF) and therefore is subject to the terms and conditions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the City of Fort Lauderdale and the IAFF.
