Job Description

Overview

Purolator is seeking a highly organized and bilingual Paralegal to support its Legal, Labour, and Employment Team in Mississauga, Ontario. This role focuses on ensuring compliance with Québec language requirements, providing legal support, and managing various documentation and reporting tasks.

Key responsibilities

  • Maintain and update inventory of materials in compliance with Québec language requirements
  • Support the coordination of documentation for francization obligations
  • Prepare internal trackers, reports, and summaries related to compliance
  • Serve as a resource for language office activities including translation validation
  • Provide operational support for HR and Labour matters as requested by Legal Counsel
  • Draft factual summaries and review HR letters
  • Coordinate translation of employment agreements and internal communications
  • Handle HR and Labour support overflow
  • Establish centralized repositories for bilingual templates

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree or college diploma in Law/Paralegal Studies or related field
  • 2-4 years of coordination experience in HR/Labour environments
  • Bilingual in English and French with strong written skills in both languages
  • Experience with Québec language compliance pursuant Bill 96 is a plus
  • Familiarity with OQLF processes and Québec employment documentation
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills
  • Detail-oriented with good version control and quality assurance
  • Ability to handle sensitive materials with discretion
