Overview

Paralegal requires: • Must have experience with handling real estate closings independently and with real estate settlement software, such as Softpro. • Willingness to learn other areas of law, such as debt collection, and may be asked to provide administrative support responsibilities to multiple attorneys. • 5 years of paralegal experience with independent, end-to-end management of real estate closings, coordinating the closing, reviewing and inputting title information, and managing closing logistics from file opening through completion. • Demonstrated experience drafting and delivering core real-estate closing documents (deeds, agreements of sale, affidavits) with accuracy suitable for recording/closing. • Experience supporting multiple attorneys and handling related practice-area work (e.g., debt collection) as assigned, showing ability to manage a mixed caseload. • End-to-end real estate closing & title review: managing a closing from contract through recording, including title-exam issue identification and clearance. • Real estate transactional document drafting: preparing deeds, agreements of sale, affidavits, closing statements, and recording documents. • Real-estate settlement-system operation & closing data entry: accurate use of settlement/closing software and producing settlement statements and disbursement schedules. • Onsite • Prior real-estate paralegal / closing experience able to run residential/commercial closings independently, perform title review, and use settlement software (explicitly SoftPro).
