Overview

The Paralegal at Global Channel Management, Inc. will independently handle real estate closings and utilize real estate settlement software such as Softpro. The role requires a willingness to learn about other areas of law, including debt collection, and provide administrative support to multiple attorneys.

Key responsibilities

  • Independently manage real estate closings from file opening through completion
  • Review and input title information and manage closing logistics
  • Draft and deliver core real-estate closing documents with accuracy for recording/closing
  • Support multiple attorneys and handle related practice-area work as assigned
  • Identify and clear title-exam issues during the closing process
  • Accurately use settlement software to produce settlement statements and disbursement schedules
  • Prepare deeds, agreements of sale, affidavits, and closing statements

Required skills

  • 5 years of paralegal experience
  • Experience with end-to-end management of real estate closings
  • Proficiency in real estate settlement software, specifically SoftPro
  • Document drafting skills for real estate transactions
  • Knowledge of title review and closing logistics
  • Ability to manage a mixed caseload
  • Experience supporting multiple attorneys
