Job Description: Role: Paralegal Classification: Full-Time, Non-Exempt Salary Range: Commensurate with experience with full benefits. Ross Family Law, PC is a thriving, boutique family law firm with offices in Oakland and Pleasanton, but predominantly operates remotely. Our founding partner was the local President of the prestigious American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers (AAML). Four of our five attorneys are certified family law specialists. That means we do the highest quality legal work and are deeply rooted in the local family law community. Each of us has a clear sense of perspective, values one another and each person's input and expertise. Your Duties & Responsibilities • Assist in managing attorney calendars for hearings/ client meetings / etc. • Prepare, edit and transmit correspondence. • Prepare judicial council forms, including RFO and Judgment packet forms. • Prepare pleadings, including Stipulations and Declarations. • Prepare Discovery requests and responses, Subpoenas, and Declarations of Disclosure. • Maintain and organize client documents for production and internal use (electronic and hard copy). • Ensure compliance with CA Rules of Court, FC's, CCP's, and Local Rules (Alameda and Contra Costa counties primarily). • Coordinate all service of process and filing of legal and other documents. • Responsible for tracking and entering your billable hours (meet annual billing expectations). • Any other miscellaneous tasks as needed.
