Overview

StageRight is seeking a Paint Line General Laborer for the 2nd shift in Clare, Michigan. This role involves painting and basic assembly of products while ensuring safety and quality standards are met in a fast-paced environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Maintain safety regulations to provide a clean and healthy work environment
  • Read work orders or blueprints and follow direction from Team Leader/Crew Leader
  • Prepare surfaces for painting by removing imperfections
  • Place products on the paint line properly for the electrostatic process
  • Remove painted parts from the overhead system and package them correctly
  • Examine finished surfaces for conformance and retouch as necessary
  • Assist in color changes and assembly of basic products
  • Record labor and downtime related to work orders
  • Confer with leadership on safety, quality, production, and inventory issues

Required skills

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Basic math skills and ability to read a measuring tape
  • Ability to measure and mix paint as required
  • Ability to read and interpret English language documents
  • Practical problem-solving skills
  • Experience interpreting blueprints
  • Manual dexterity and ability to use hand tools
  • Physical capability to lift 50 pounds regularly
