The role of a Paid Training Telecom Equipment Installer involves hands-on installation of equipment in Data Center and Construction environments. This entry-level position provides comprehensive training with opportunities for advancement, aiming to build a strong career in the telecom industry.

Key responsibilities

  • Install equipment in Telecom Facilities and Data Center/Construction environments
  • Conduct on-site analysis of job drawings and specifications
  • Ensure quality installations by adhering to applicable standards
  • Maintain safety as a top priority during all work
  • Deliver outstanding customer service and maintain a professional appearance
  • Perform data entry and administrative tasks using a computer

Required skills

  • Construction and mechanical backgrounds encouraged
  • Hands-on experience with assembling and building
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic computer skills, including MS Office
  • Knowledge and skills with hand tools
  • Ability to pass background, drug, and motor vehicle screenings
  • OSHA10 certification required, with OSHA30 preferred
  • Fall protection and Manlift/Forklift certification preferred
