Job Description

Overview

The Packing Supervisor at Torito Brands will lead daily packing operations at the Highbridge facility, focusing on the packaging of dog chew products for wholesale distribution. This role requires managing a team of hourly packing staff, enforcing safety and quality standards, and ensuring operational efficiency in a fast-paced environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Direct day-to-day packing floor operations including product weighing, bagging, sealing, labeling, and staging for shipment
  • Set daily output targets aligned with customer order schedules
  • Monitor line speeds, pack rates, and throughput KPIs; identify and close gaps in real-time
  • Supervise 15-40+ hourly packing employees and temp workers
  • Conduct pre-shift briefings and assign tasks to a bilingual workforce
  • Enforce food safety and internal GMP requirements on the production floor
  • Lead GMP floor audits and coordinate with Quality on corrective actions
  • Enforce all OSHA and company safety protocols
  • Respond to equipment failures, staffing gaps, and other disruptions
  • Complete shift packing reports, downtime logs, and maintain lot traceability records

Required skills

  • 3+ years of supervisory experience in food manufacturing or packing
  • Ability to lead a workforce of 15 or more
  • Hands-on experience with GMP, HACCP, or SQF food safety standards
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage under pressure
  • Fully bilingual in English and Spanish
  • Experience with packing documentation and reporting
