Job Description

Overview

The Packaging & Value-Add Lead at OGS Industries is responsible for overseeing secondary operations like part marking, assembly, and packaging to ensure efficient workflow in a fast-paced production environment. This role supports the Department Manager and aims to prepare the individual for future management responsibilities.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform and oversee value-add operations including ink stamping and assembly
  • Ensure all work is completed per router instructions and customer specifications
  • Assist the Manager in prioritizing daily workload based on shipping schedules
  • Distribute work across team members to maximize throughput
  • Learn and support the use of ERP systems to track job status
  • Act as lead on the floor when the Manager is unavailable
  • Train new employees on packaging methods and quality expectations

Required skills

  • 2+ years in manufacturing, packaging, or production environment
  • Strong attention to detail and organization
  • Ability to read and follow work instructions and prints
  • Basic computer skills, with ERP exposure preferred
  • Experience with aerospace or regulated industry packaging
  • Familiarity with part marking methods
  • Prior leadership or training experience
