Overview

Join Intel's Advanced Packaging Substrate Technology Development team as a Packaging Module Development Engineer. In this role, you will develop advanced assembly processes and equipment, optimizing manufacturing processes to improve product quality, reliability, and yield in the semiconductor industry. This position is ideal for candidates who enjoy hands-on engineering work and seek growth as a Tool Owner and Process Owner.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop and support advanced assembly processes and equipment for substrate packaging technologies.
  • Plan and execute Design of Experiments (DOEs) to optimize processes.
  • Apply statistical analysis and data-driven methodologies to improve manufacturing efficiency.
  • Collaborate with Procurement and Supplier Quality teams on material specifications.
  • Troubleshoot packaging and manufacturing issues using engineering principles.
  • Support process documentation and standardization activities.
  • Work with suppliers to develop and qualify new tools and materials.
  • Contribute to the design of advanced substrate packaging technologies.

Required skills

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in relevant engineering discipline or PhD.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing process control and equipment adjustment.
  • Experience with Design of Experiments (DOE) and statistical data analysis.
  • Familiarity with Statistical Process Control (SPC).
  • Experience using tools like JMP or Python for statistical analysis.
  • Background in organic and inorganic materials characterization techniques.
