Overview

The Mortgage Development Officer at WEOKIE Federal Credit Union is responsible for originating a variety of mortgage loan products tailored to the financial needs of members and non-members in the Oklahoma City metro area. This role requires significant fieldwork, focusing on community engagement and building strategic relationships to generate new loan opportunities while delivering exceptional service to clients.

Key responsibilities

  • Work in the field to meet with members, referral partners, and prospective clients.
  • Assist borrowers in selecting appropriate mortgage products and set expectations upfront.
  • Originate first, second, and ITIN mortgage loans, including application processing and documentation gathering.
  • Cultivate relationships with referral sources like real estate agents and builders.
  • Manage individual pipeline and communicate loan status to relevant parties.
  • Maintain knowledge of all loan products, compliance regulations, and licensing requirements.
  • Participate in community networking events and relationship-building activities.

Required skills

  • Minimum 1-year experience in mortgage origination.
  • Ability to analyze credit reports and mortgage-related documents.
  • Knowledge of conventional and Fannie Mae loan products.
  • Proficiency in mortgage loan origination processing systems and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong business development and sales acumen.
  • Fluency in English and Spanish preferred.
  • Possession of a valid Oklahoma State driver's license and automobile liability insurance.
