Overview

The Outside Sales Consultant at Capital Waste Services LLC is responsible for marketing and selling waste collection services to existing and potential customers, aiming to increase profitable revenue. The role requires achieving sales and retention goals while maintaining customer satisfaction in a supportive work environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain customer satisfaction by meeting retention goals and resolving issues
  • Generate revenue through the sale of services to new and existing accounts
  • Meet or exceed sales activity goals for new sales and retention
  • Demonstrate basic knowledge of technical equipment
  • Prepare timely and accurate sales activity reports
  • Understand and execute pricing and service strategies
  • Identify and engage other sister company opportunities

Required skills

  • 3+ years of related experience
  • 2+ years in Solid Waste or a service-related industry preferred
  • Demonstrated organizational, oral, written, and listening skills
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Excellent selling and account management skills
  • Ability to manage leads and negotiate contracts
  • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
