Overview

Capital Waste Services is seeking an Outside Sales Consultant in Chattanooga, Tennessee, to market and sell waste services to both existing and potential customers. This role focuses on achieving sales and retention goals while ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain high customer satisfaction to meet retention goals
  • Generate revenue through sales to new and existing accounts
  • Meet or exceed sales activity goals for new sales and retention
  • Resolve customer issues and service problems in a timely manner
  • Prepare timely and accurate sales activity reports
  • Acquire knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations
  • Identify and engage other sister company opportunities

Required skills

  • 3+ years of related experience
  • 2+ years in the Solid Waste or service-related industry
  • High School Diploma or GED; Associate's Degree preferred
  • Excellent selling and account management skills
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to generate and manage leads and close contracts
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical skills
