Overview

Thompson Tire and Service is looking for an experienced Outside Sales Representative for its commercial tire operations in Davenport, Iowa. This role involves sales management, client retention, and acquisition of new accounts within the tire industry, with significant earnings potential and opportunities for professional growth.

Key responsibilities

  • Make sales presentations to trucking and commercial accounts
  • Conduct cold calls to develop new accounts
  • Maintain records and customer history
  • Perform regular sales calls, delivery, and pickup of products
  • Gather information for payment facilitation
  • Complete invoicing and crediting for transactions
  • Collect timely and past-due payments
  • Set up and manage customer credit accounts
  • Provide technical assistance to customers
  • Advise management on customer trends and competitive activity
  • Prepare regular reports on sales trends and metrics
  • Deliver superior customer service
  • Complete all required training
  • Adhere to company policies and legal regulations

Required skills

  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to pull a trailer
  • At least 3 years of experience in tire sales
