Overview

American Industrial Services is looking for a motivated Outside Advertising Sales Agent to join their Hauling Division in Long Beach, California. The role involves driving sales growth, building new client relationships, and promoting hauling services to commercial, industrial, and municipal clients while focusing on sustainability.

Key responsibilities

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities
  • Prospect and generate leads through networking, cold calling, and referrals
  • Target commercial businesses, construction companies, and municipal organizations
  • Maintain and update a pipeline of potential clients
  • Conduct engaging presentations and proposals to prospective clients
  • Tailor sales approaches to meet client needs and compliance requirements
  • Demonstrate knowledge of industry regulations and environmental standards
  • Build and nurture strong client relationships
  • Provide exceptional customer service and address client inquiries
  • Meet and exceed sales targets set by management
  • Report on sales activities, pipeline status, and performance metrics
  • Analyze market trends and competitor activities

Required skills

  • Previous sales experience in waste disposal, hauling, or a related field
  • Familiarity with hauling services and environmental regulations
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Basic arithmetic skills
  • Highly motivated and goal-oriented
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record
