Job Description

Overview

The Outreach & Marketing Specialist 1 at Helen Ross McNabb Center will support the community relations department by coordinating outreach and marketing efforts in Hamilton and McMinn County. This role involves attending community events, building relationships, and assisting in the design and implementation of marketing strategies.

Key responsibilities

  • Coordinate outreach and community tabling events
  • Represent the Center at community events
  • Build relationships with local organizations for volunteer purposes
  • Coordinate speaking engagements and respond to requests for speakers
  • Manage Community Relations aspects of awareness events
  • Coordinate short-term volunteer projects
  • Assist with marketing and promotional activities
  • Support Center events as needed

Required skills

  • Strong communication skills
  • Experience with Adobe design products (preferred)
  • Basic competency in office applications such as Word and Excel
  • Knowledge of marketing and promotional activities
  • Social media monitoring experience

What the company offers

  • Starting salary approximately $22.87/hour based on experience and education
