Overview

Description: Supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. Build members and the community's understanding of the YMCA's cause and change. This position provides direct supervision to a group of children in a school-age setting. Provides positive engagement to youth in a safe, nurturing environment. Provides quality experience to children and parents focused on YMCA core values: honesty, respect, responsibility, and caring. 1. Builds personal and meaningful relationships with YMCA members, participants, volunteers, and guests. While exemplifying the Y's commitment to the four-character values of caring, honesty, respect & responsibility and responds to all member and community inquiries promptly.2. Supervises and supports KFY OST programs at all locations3. Supports and trains staff in planning engaging, enrichment-based, age-appropriate activities. 4. Provides leadership to co-staff.5. Adheres to program standards including safety and cleanliness standards.6. Attend staff meetings, training, and dedicated events. (Family nights and others)7. Follows YMCA policies and procedures, including those related to medical and disciplinary situations, child abuse prevention, and emergencies.8. Fulfills any other functions appointed by the YMCA Administration. Requirements: 1. At least 21 years of age2. Must pass a background check3. Minimum of 1 year supervising 3+ staff4. 3+ years' experience working with youth preferably in a school age setting.5. Behavioral management experience within a School, Childcare, Camp setting or parenthood is preferred.6. 2-4 years' experience working with children with cognitive and developmental disabilities is preferred.7. Effective verbal communication skills8. CPR, First Aid, AED certifications, and Child Abuse Prevention training with the first 30 days of hire.9. Completed health form within the first 30 days of hire.Compensation details: 13.08-19.61 Hourly WagePI4f0bee46ce5e-0131
