Overview

Palm Health Resources is seeking an experienced Otolaryngology Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to provide comprehensive care for patients with ear, nose, throat, and related head and neck disorders. This role involves working under the supervision of an Otolaryngology physician and requires proficiency in various ENT procedures and patient care activities.

Key responsibilities

  • Assist the attending physician in patient care activities including daily inpatient rounds, outpatient follow-ups, and consults
  • Perform evaluations for malignant and benign diseases of the thyroid and parathyroid glands
  • Manage urgent and emergent ENT scenarios
  • Conduct various diagnostic and interventional procedures
  • Order therapy treatments and diagnostic tests
  • Assess patients perioperatively and monitor post-operative care
  • Instruct and counsel patients on health care management
  • Record detailed medical histories and perform complete physical examinations
  • Facilitate patient referrals to health facilities and community resources
  • Maintain confidentiality of patient information and establish interpersonal relationships

Required skills

  • Experience in ENT Otolaryngology/Head and Neck
  • Minimum 3 years as a Physician Assistant in inpatient and outpatient settings
  • Preferred 2 years of experience in Head/Neck procedures
  • Proficient in ultrasound-guided fine needle aspiration and various bedside procedures
  • Knowledge of healthcare management and patient history documentation
  • DEA certification within 2 months of hire
  • ACLS and BLS certifications
  • Optional AOCNP certification
