Overview

Protean Med LLC is seeking an experienced Physician Assistant for a permanent, full-time role focused on trauma and acute care surgery in Loveland, Colorado. The position involves managing high-acuity patients with a high degree of autonomy while collaborating with trauma surgeons in a hospital-based setting.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide overnight trauma and acute care surgery coverage
  • Manage trauma admissions and emergency general surgery
  • Assist trauma surgeons with procedures and operative support
  • Perform clinical evaluations and develop treatment plans
  • Interpret diagnostics and collaborate with a multidisciplinary care team
  • Participate in professional development and leadership opportunities

Required skills

  • Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program
  • NCCPA certification (PA-C)
  • Unrestricted Colorado PA license
  • Eligible for DEA and Medicare/Medicaid enrollment
  • BLS certification
  • Minimum 2 years of trauma surgery experience or completion of a surgical fellowship
  • Clean malpractice and license history
