Overview

WhiteCoat Locums is seeking an Orthopedics Physician Assistant for locum coverage in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The role involves supporting orthopedic surgeons in an inpatient trauma setting, providing clinical care for adult and geriatric patients from February through March.

Key responsibilities

  • Support the Orthopedic Surgeon by performing inpatient rounding and daily management
  • Conduct consults and history & physical examinations
  • Assist in surgeries as needed
  • Provide general surgical team support

Required skills

  • Active AANP, ANCC, or NCCPA certification
  • Active Colorado state license
  • Active DEA registration
  • Experience in inpatient care and trauma treatment
  • Surgical first assisting experience is preferred
  • Clean malpractice and background history
  • Self-Query NPDB report within the last 30 days
