Overview

WhiteCoat Locums is seeking an Orthopedics Physician Assistant for locums coverage at a facility in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The role involves supporting the Orthopedic Surgeon with inpatient management and surgical assistance during specified coverage dates.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide inpatient rounding and daily management for adult and geriatric patients
  • Conduct consults and health history and physicals (H&Ps)
  • Assist in surgeries as the Surgical First Assistant, as needed
  • Support the general surgical team

Required skills

  • Active AANP, ANCC, or NCCPA certification
  • Active Colorado state license
  • Active DEA registration
  • Experience as a Surgical First Assistant is highly preferred
  • Clean malpractice and background history
  • Recent NPDB self-query report
