Overview

Southern Ohio Medical Center is looking for a Board Certified or Board Eligible Sports Medicine Orthopedic Surgeon to join their hospital-employed practice in Portsmouth, Ohio. The ideal candidate will be fellowship-trained in sports medicine and will have the opportunity to grow a high-demand sports medicine program within a well-established orthopedic group, supported by a strong referral network.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform shoulder and knee arthroscopy
  • Expand services to include elbow and hip arthroscopy
  • Lead and grow the sports medicine service line
  • Manage a steady volume of community trauma cases
  • Conduct primary and revision joint arthroplasty
  • Collaborate with fellowship-trained arthroplasty specialists
  • Handle outpatient pediatric sports procedures
  • Perform hand surgery procedures such as carpal and cubital tunnel release
  • Engage in foot and ankle surgery with orthopedic collaboration
