Overview

Swissport International AG is seeking a Station Trainer for their Cargo operations at O'Hare International Airport. The trainer will be responsible for delivering classroom and on-the-job training, evaluating employee performance, and ensuring compliance with company and customer service standards. This role requires collaboration with multiple stakeholders and offers the opportunity to support various training activities within a fast-paced aviation environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Deliver detailed training through various formats including instructor-led and e-learning.
  • Oversee practical Cargo operations Classroom and OJT.
  • Follow corporate training policies and operational procedures.
  • Monitor and promote best practices across the station.
  • Implement internal quality assurance activities.
  • Assess staff competency and maintain compliance levels.
  • Provide feedback and coaching to improve performance.
  • Support nearby stations as needed.
  • Forecast and plan for training needs in coordination with HR and Operations.
  • Administer examinations and reports for training programs.

Required skills

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in airline Cargo operations.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 10% within the US and Canada.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Customer service orientation.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts.
  • Knowledge of adult learning processes and instructional design.
  • Ability to create dynamic presentations and training materials.
