Overview

Join the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Mather, California as a Physician Ophthalmologist. In this role, you will manage eye conditions, perform various treatments, and oversee the operations of the Ophthalmology Clinic, while ensuring efficient patient management and supervising residents.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage eye conditions including cataract, glaucoma, age-related macular degeneration, and diabetic retinopathy
  • Perform cataract surgery and diabetic retinopathy laser therapy
  • Provide glaucoma treatment and macular degeneration injections
  • Oversee the operations of the Ophthalmology Clinic
  • Maintain Joint Commission readiness
  • Supervise Ophthalmology residents
  • Participate in administrative activities including patient management
