Overview

Job PurposeManufactures various cake icing and filling products in accordance with designated specifications; performs job tasks of a repetitive lifting nature in accordance with product type and production requirements; conforms to Good Manufacturing and Safety practices as outlined by company policy.Essential Functions Inspects mixing equipment for cleanliness or possible damage during set-up and reports deficiencies to supervisor.Reviews daily ingredient requirements against standard requirements and notifies supervisor of discrepancies.Reviews icing inventory for daily use. Update inventory daily.Scales ingredients in accordance with pre-determined formulas and procedures; calculates batch requirements and batch size adjustments as directed by supervisor.Operates various mixing and metering equipment in accordance with pre-determined procedures.Maintains records of batches produced as well as ingredient lot numbers, temperatures, and specific gravities. Enters all required information into the warehouse management system (WMS)Follows Good Manufacturing Practices by adhering to company policy and keeping work areas and equipment neat and clean on an ongoing basis.Maintain continuous communication with line lead to ensure proper icing supply to the lineResponsibility to work and act safely in accordance with all policiesResponsibility to report safety hazards to people or product and comply with all Good Manufacturing Practices.Ensure products meet the requirements of the SQF Food Safety Code by reporting to a leader, supervisor, or manager any instances or conditions that would negatively affect the products quality, food safety, or regulatory requirements.Back up for this position is other Icing Mixers and Production Lead.Perform other job-related duties as assigned Qualifications (Education/Experience) High School diploma or equivalent Demonstrates manual dexterityAbility to perform repetitive motions on a regular basisAbility to work in a fast paced environment using both hands, frequent bending/stooping with occasional walking and lifting/moving up to 100 lbs. Must be able to stand for a full shiftMust be able to push and pull wheeled bowls in excess of 750lbsMust be able to work over 40 hours per week and 8 hours per day- ability to work overtime is requiredBasic Math skills Must be able to read and write EnglishBasic computer skills and ability to operate scanner gunMust be able to tolerate potential allergens: peanut products, egg, dairy, gluten, soy, seafood and shellfish.Train and coach new and existing employees 1st Shift, Line 2: 6:25am-2:30pmPI765f28c15a85-8044
