Job Description Job Description Schedule: 6:45 pm - 7:15 am The B Operator position is responsible for safely manufacturing resin batches which meet customer quality requirements by executing job functions as specified in plant/batch procedures and training. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSFollow batch cards to weigh additives and compound resin batches in thinning kettles or blend tanks Make resin transfers from vessel to vessel per the batch card through the computer control system. Load/operate tank trucks and package materials into containers for shipment Operate forklifts and pallet jacks Participate in PSM related reviews (hazard analyses, safety review, etc.) Double check accuracy of batch cards and input batch information into computer system Work independently and perform duties with minimal supervision Make suggestions that improve safety, quality and productivity Perform other duties as assigned by management Punctuality and regularity of attendance are job requirementsMaintain a clean work environment and perform housekeeping duties as required. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSHigh school diploma or equivalent General or chemical manufacturing experience is a plus Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds Must have ability to learn to drive a yard dog/tanker truck on site premises Must have ability to learn to drive a forklift and learn how to a pallet jack Must have the ability to learn computer and process control systems.
