Overview

The Operations Specialist 1 at Mid Kansas Cooperative is responsible for assisting with operations in the agronomy, grain, and feed departments. This includes handling fertilizer and grain, ensuring equipment maintenance, and providing excellent customer service while promoting a safety culture.

Key responsibilities

  • Assist in agronomy, grain, and feed departments
  • Pick-up and delivery of fertilizer equipment and tanks
  • Loading and unloading grain and feed
  • Perform cleaning and maintenance of elevators and facilities
  • Conduct inspections and recommend improvements for grain handling
  • Follow safety regulations and promote a safety culture
  • Maintain a positive visual image of all locations

Required skills

  • Operational knowledge of machinery in the elevator
  • Ability to operate equipment safely
  • Knowledge of fertilizer, seed, and grains
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a 7B Fumigation License
  • Independent working capability
  • Physical ability to lift and move heavy items
